Bringing to Life a Vision for a Better Approach to Recovery
The founders of Moving Mountains Recovery, Jeff Thomas, Myles Beck, and Alexander Chesher are just 3 individuals among the millions of people who have struggled with addiction and substance use. However, they are also among a smaller group of people who were lucky enough to have access to treatment and brave enough to take the help. Through their own recovery journeys, each of these men faced challenges but they also experienced life-altering epiphanies.
Their combined personal and professional experiences led them to develop the belief that it is vital for treatment providers to assist clients in finding a passion for life. As most modern treatment centers continuously overlook this colossal facet of substance abuse treatment, they saw a need for a different type of treatment that wasn’t being offered.
The years of experience and success Jeff and Alex have had working in the addiction treatment space mixed with Myles’ wilderness expertise set the foundation for a new drug and alcohol treatment program featuring a plethora of creative and recreational experiences.
Moving Mountains Recovery was born from the idea that recovery is about more than just getting off of drugs or alcohol. It is about creating a new life so full of passion that there is no room left for substance abuse. If recovering addicts are going to thrive beyond their addiction, they need to fulfill the needs of their mind, body, and soul. The option available at Moving Mountains no doubt stands out from the typical, monotonous treatment curriculum often found in modern-day substance abuse treatment programs. We believe that this approach will help us keep our clients engaged in the treatment and recovery process, significantly improving client retention and overall client success upon completing our program.
One person at a time, we strive to combat the ever-growing drug epidemic that this country faces.
